Top 11 Life Lessons

Greetings and welcome to my Lorene's Life Lessons blog. At my age, I've learned so many lessons. I recently shared my top 11 at a United Way luncheon for the women at Eli Lilly and Company. They liked the lessons so much, that the list was shared internally at the company. Now I'm sharing that list with my blog readers. Here goes...

1. If we make our decisions based on what we already know, we won’t go very far in life.
2. Never consider what you can’t do. Only consider what you can.
3. After each transition, take time to summarize what you learned about yourself.
4. Do what you know and add on what you don’t know.
5. Give yourself the freedom to accept risks.
6. If you are in a situation where you are not thriving, review your options and make decisions so you do.
7. Always be willing to start at the bottom and work your way up.
8. Pick your passion.
9. Cherish every stage of your life.
10. Think about what your life means; no one else is doing it for you.
11. No one is ordinary unless they think they are. Think extraordinary. You may just surprise yourself with what you can do.
